Bridleway success

BHS member the late Sir David Money-Coutts A former footpath running through Padnell's Wood near Nettlebed has been upgraded to bridleway status after a Public Inquiry.

Many thanks to former Oxfordshire BHS member the late Sir David Money-Coutts for making the application back in 2002, based on 20 years' use by the public 'as of right and without interruption'. Sadly Sir David died in June, but he had been tireless in his efforts to obtain witness statements and evidence to secure this outcome.

If you know of, or ride, a public footpath which has been ridden over a period of 20 years, it is worth considing an application to record it as a bridleway.
