Tony Barnett given a one month suspended sentence
for twice breaching an injunction banning him from entering Hartlebury Common and encouraging others to take down fences put up by the Council

- Whoever heard of anyone having an injunction forbidding them to enter common land in any case; particularly where no damage could be established.

- I believe Tony is right and that isolated inhumane acts of this nature may constitute grave infringements of human rights. What is the ordinary man supposed to do when there is no support from the offices of the Local Government Ombudsman or the Planning Inspectorate
And he cannot afford the exhorbitant fees charged by lawyers?

Says Maureen ComberI was disgusted to read of the inability of the Court to establish the facts of the matters raised by Tony Barnett during his summoned appearance at Worcester Crown Court. If Tony's claims were outside the jurisdiction of that Court then it is difficult to understand why Judge Richard Rundell did not refer them to another one where they were not?

Whoever heard of anyone having an injunction forbidding them to enter common land in any case; particularly where no damage could be established.

SSSI's now seem to be synonymous with Himler's SS who were responsible for many crimes against humanity that constitute a serious attack on Human dignity or grave humiliation or a degradation of one or more human beings. In this case Tony Barnett.

We now have to ask if this is part of government policy and if more injunctions are to follow?

As my late mentor the Master of the Roles and resident of Hampshire, Lord Denning used to say: "How can the ordinary man maintain his rights in law if he is not supported by it and it is not enforced?"

I pine for a more sensible approach to saving our forests
