Bridleway converted into cycle path
in spite of local riders concerns

Comments Tony Barnett

"The rights of way development, from an ancient right of way as a bridle/public footpath, to include cycling, is beyond belief "

Says Tony Barnett

Says Tony BarnettMildenhall & West Row rights of way development, from an ancient right of way as a bridle/public footpath, to include cycling, is beyond belief as cycling on country lanes, registered on the definitive plan and statement as a bridle path is of right and not by custom or consent.

It can also be stated that since the development by the council, it was their intent to present a fait accompli to one and all and so claiming that the right of way is now a "Queens Highway" by adoption.

The authorities decision, to permanently extinguish all flora and fauna and natural drainage on this ancient rights of way, is reckless and not with conservation/natural phenomena and access safety in mind.

May I also remind those that orchestrated this decision, that in doing so, have accepted all responsibility for any/all accidents through a public liability certificate, there is also the prospect of all traffic using this newly developed Queens Highway with out breaching the 1988, section 34 road traffic act.

The request is/should now be for disclosure of evidence to show the development has the consent of the minister to construct a new steel road, a copy of a public liability certificate and consent to amend the definitive plan and statement from the secretary of state for defra/planning inspectorate and copies of the subsequent public inquiry with PINS and members of the public.
