Sussex Wildlife Trust plan to enclose Trotton and Iping Commons

Tony Barnett comments on Catherine Myers report on a meeting with SWT representatives

The Sussex Wildlife TrustStatutory Declaration
However, I will make this statement of truth that after years of claiming ownership of common lands in the area to include Trotton and Iping where vast amounts of funding has been obtained and false claims to ownership of common lands, also with the intent of making an application to pins on the afore mentioned common lands as owners, the SWT has now admitted that they do not own these two or other common lands in the county of Surrey.

One questions as to how low are they prepared to go to defraud the public and their members

Says Tony Barnett

Says Tony BarnettThe meeting to discuss these two common lands was an exercise of telling the public what they intend doing with or without public support.

I have provided an application to the Council and ICO under the 2005 freedom of information act, there has also been conversation with Leconfield estates to disclose information to support their claim to ownership of the part of Iping Common, developed into a vehicle park.

Monday 17-2-14,
I am awaiting documentation from the council of the lease agreement and the subsequent sub lease to SWT was allegedly made, to IPING Common vehicular parking facility by Surrey council.

Tuesday 18th
A firm leconfield estates claims to own this parcel of common land but refuse to disclose the ancient route to title, or to conclusively confirm ownership of the parcel or to disclose claimed ownership of the entire common lands of Iping and Trotton.

Wednesday 19th
Peter Jupp of Surrey CC has stated contrary to the claims by SWT to ownership of the common land to confirm that the claim and subsequent registration on the ownership register is for reference purposes only and bears no Jurisdiction whatsoever, no legal occupation, yet take no action to the enclosures of the common lands in Surrey or objection to the proposed application to Pins to enclose the afore mention common lands and applications to DEFRA/Natural England for funding.

To day when speaking to the SWT, it confirmed that SWT don't really own the commons, but the person directly involved with these two commons will make contact with me later to day.

Thursday 20th.
Peter Jupp has is to examine the claims of ownership the both common lands to see what evidence if any was disclosed for registering ownership, at this moment in time the claims are for reference purpose only, and is to report next week on his findings.

Says Linda WrightWe moved to a Shropshire location a year ago having surveyed the local OS map and noted the significant number of bridleways around the property. Sadly the map appears a total fiction. Scarce any of the bridleways are usable ........... read more
