Says Suffolk County CouncilWe can now provide you with the following update and information

The county council has the powers to improve public highways, including public bridleways, and consent from the environment minister was neither sought nor required.

The only change to the definitive map and statement was to widen part of the bridleway to accommodate equestrians, this was achieved by deed of dedication.

The county council does not consider the improvement work to be dangerous and the bridleway will continue to be monitored to assess its effect on pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians.

A copy of the county council’s insurance policy cover is attached to this email.”
